Belgian fries with curry ketchup

BeFries do one thing only and they do it well: Belgian-style fries (which are very similar to their Dutch counterparts). Like the real thing, they're double fried so they're lovely and crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. Unlike the real thing, there are vegan options here. There are a variety of sauces that are vegan, including the ketchup, curry ketchup, tofu sauce and peanut sate (satay) as well as a host of others for vegetarians (including mayonnaise for the classic Belgian experience). Also optionally topped with raw onions and chilli. My favourite has been the curry ketchup. The sate is very nice, but it's very rich and I'm not sure I could have it on a whole portion. They're great comfort food now the weather has started to turn colder.

There is space at the rear of BeFries to sit in and thoughtfully there seems to be a sink to wash your hands in. They're open until late and located close to Churchill Square and the clock tower.
